Truth – Locked and Hardened Minds, Rusting Away…

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 3 May 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Couldn’t help but noticed this part rusty old lock securing a gate with old rusty chains when I was out shooting on Labour Day.

The image of the rusty old lock made me think of what might be the eventual outcome if one were to be overly and dogmatically locked into one’s own point of view, especially if it is wrong. Well, I guess you get locked in and you rust.

Sobering…

It’s one thing to be fenced in by untruths but quite another to be locked into these untruths because of self-pride. Haven’t we come across people who insist that they are right and always right? People who just can’t see that they just might be on the wrong side? You know…hardened minds? I have. :(

But as much as we wonder in amazement at these people we ourselves need to watch out lest we too get locked in to this state of mind. For an unopened mind would eventually lead to a hardened way of thinking and then a rusting away…

So get the Key! Stay open. Keep open. :)
