Life – Weekend Stop Light

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 19 May 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

What do you do when you see the traffic lights turn red? You obey and stop.

Not obeying the red light and stop is hazardous! You can get yourself seriously injured or even killed. What’s more you may end up also hurting or killing others around you.

A thought came to my mind. If we are willing to obey the red traffic light to stop because we know it is for our good, then surely we must also learn to obey the signal to stop from work and to rest.

Ah, but what is that signal that would cause us to really stop and rest? Must it be something drastic like failing health before we would take our health more seriously? That would be like driving through a red light and hoping not to get hit!

Or would we learn that the signal is simply when the sun sets for the day or when the moon arises or when the weekend comes around! When these happen, it is the signal to slow down, to stop work and to rest.

There is a time for everything under the sun - a time to work and a time to rest.

And guess what? It’s Saturday again! Time to stop work and rest for the week!

Have a good weekend of rest everyone!
