Life – Rising Sun Light

It’s Monday again.
This rising sun shot reminds me that it’s the start of a new week.
People are up early in the dark of the morning, making their way to work or school.
Most would wish they could sleep in some more but work and responsibilities beckon.
But work and responsibilities aren’t necessarily bad. Having something meaningful to do is not a bad thing.
I guess it becomes bad when it’s overdone. So there’s a need for balance - a time for work and a time for rest.
Take the sun for example. It’s good that the sun is up for only a certain time span and then sets. It gives a good rhythmic balance to time, seasons and life.
And it’s good to know that this balance is also seen in the sun’s heat reaching earth. If too much heat reaches us it would get too hot to sustain life. Too little and the earth will freeze over, making life at best difficult to live but at worse, impossible.
So it’s good to have a balance. After a good weekend of rest, it’s time to be up and on again, to have some meaningful work to do.

actually i took this picture inside a taxi while on my way to work!
i saw that the sun was really beautiful that morning and was half debating whether i should try to shoot it in a moving cab!
i was eyeing it all the while anticipating if at some time along the highway the cab might be in a position for me to take quick snap of it through the windows or the wind-screen!
took out my G6 ( these days i carry it in my bag all the time - never know what you might be able to snap ;] ) and ready it to shoot as i aniticipated that when we came into a a certain curve of the highway the sun will probably be right smack in front of the cab...
true enough it was facing us and so i quickly took just one snap of it before the angle was off again! whew!
i think all this while the cab driver was wondering if i was trying to take a picture of him! hahaha - but he didn't say anything as i guess he figured i was trying to capture the rising sun instead :)
the shot didn't turn out too bad (not as dark and had some side distracting elements) but i post-processed it in PS LRoom and CS2 to get the final effect i was looking for :)
anyways...i think it turned out not too bad although i think my post-processing could have been better! :)

My favorite time is time for rest ;o) I'm agree balance is necessary, the important is to find your own balance... Today, here, no sun in the sky he's just playing with us !!! Here, not here ... it's balance ;o)

Hi i do agree with you that things cannot be overdone - and that we should seek a balance in life. I had a nightmare about going back to work last night. I think i'm going crazy! haha

Stunning capture!
The cloud's shape is very similar to our Chinook arches we get... and the colours of the sunset as well. Chinook's are when we get warm pacific air coming over the mountains. The wind is very warm when this happens and we can warm up in the winter from -20 to + 12 anywhere from an hour to a day depending on how strong the chinook winds are. Just in case you were wondering what a Chinook was... ;-)
