Life – Inner Core Light

This shot of the filament of a bulb reminds me that ultimately in order for us to be able to shine bright colourful lights on others, we first have to make sure our inner core light is shining.

But this picture also brought home another point – that for the light to be seen as bright, there must be darkness around it. If everywhere else is just as bright, then the brightness of the filament wouldn’t be seen as that bright and thus it would not be of much use in lighting up the surrounding.

So it is with life. Our dark moments are the very times that would test our inner core. Would we be succumbed by the darkness or would we choose to do what is necessary so as to shine in the midst of darkness?

The choice really lies in our hands. In moments of no-light, what would we do with our inner core light?
