This shot was taken about 40 minutes after I shot yesterday’s photo. The sun has risen higher than before.
A thought struck my mind – what if the sun remains exactly where it is day after day after day?
I suppose it would be like being in summer either at the north or south pole where the sun does not set for close to half a year.
To some this is great as you get all the sunlight all day long. To others it might not be so great as it probably would throw your biorhythm off and put you under various states of stress.
For me I prefer changing sunlight. Sunrise, where it gets brighter and brighter, and then sunset as it gets darker and darker. Such changes in light help to mark clearly a time to get up and a time to rest, a time to work and a time to relax. It marks time and season. Somehow this change in light gives me a sense of progression in life.
I guess change is good and important as through it one progresses and hopefully one becomes better and better. It marks development and growth. Can you imagine what it would be like if as a foetus in your mother’s womb you stopped developing and growing?
So which do you prefer? Unchanging light or changing light? No change or change? :)

The nights are so beautiful too. Where the stars and moon lit the sky and all is calm and all is silent. Such bliss. Such wonder.

Changing without a doubt. Same as we use to say to the children - If we had fun all the time, the fun things wouldn't be funny anymore. I think same goes for the sun, especially up here in north we really appreciate when it's kind warming face is turned our way!!

@Stunner: tks! :) how true - good thoughts! tks for sharing it!
I definitely love the change in seasons...An old preacher once said that "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven." That's what life is all about, and that is what makes us feel alive. Living without seasons / changes simply means dying.

@{H} creatives: yes it's true! no growth and being stagnant is as good as being dead...that's why the dead sea is called the dead sea because nothing can live in its waters due to the sea water being stagnant as there is no outward flow into the oceans...
thanks for sharing what that older wise preacher once said!
nice view

@Beckie: tks! :) yes, no changes can make life boring
I prefer the changing light. All the wonderful colors and shadows that appear that if it stayed the same you would never see. Change is hard, but in the end change is usually the best decision you make.

@Jen: yes. agree. and yes, changes are hard but i guess it's in the process of changing that one find life more interesting and even meaningful tks for sharing you thoughts, Jen!
