Life – Power Up Your Spiritual Lights
It’s Monday again.
Firstly, thanks to all who visited my photoblog, shared your thoughts and gave your kind comments. Appreciate it lots! Again, please bear with me as I will take some time to reply to all. So come by and have a look later.
Anyway, as the sun shines onto the car, it’s a reminder that it's the start of another week of work.
But the car lights are still cold. Soon however, they will light up as the owner starts the engine, preparing to make that journey to work.
Just as the car engine needs fuel to start and power up the lights, so it is with our lives. We need “fuel” to power up.
Physically we need air, food and water to be able to produce physical power to move about and get things done.
But we are more than just physical beings. We are also spiritual beings. And so we also need spiritual fuel to power the spiritual lights within.
There are various things we can do to fuel the spiritual lights within. Reading a thought-provoking book, watching a meaningful movie or even listening closely to the lyrics of some songs are all possible fuel intake for the spiritual being within.
But just like the car, you will need a spark to ignite the fuel to start burning it, we also need that spark to ignite the spiritual fuel we take in. And I think the spark plug for igniting the spiritual fuel is taking time off for times of solitude so as to meditate and reflect upon what we have read, watched or listened to. Then we will be able to burn the spiritual fuel to power the spiritual lights within.
So do take time during the busy work week to take in some spiritual fuel, burn it and power up your spiritual lights!
