Life – Unexpected Beautiful Lights

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 8 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Sometimes we tend to think that we can only get beautiful lights in open spaces or up above. And so we skip those obscure or hidden places that we doubt we could get any lovely shots.

But we should not be too quick to skip such places because you just might find something interesting or beautiful to shoot.

This shot was made under the two flyovers spanning across the Singapore River. It was also the place where I shot a symmetrical geometrical composition which I had posted earlier here.

If I had decided not to go under but stay above where I shot this other shot, I would have missed out on the unexpected beautiful lights bouncing off the water onto the bottom of the flyover bridge.

I guess that’s the same in life. We must be willing to explore the obscure and unexplored places to discover beauty where we least expect.

At the bottom of a two-way flyover I’ve found unexpected beautiful lights.

Who knows what other unlikely places might bring?

It’s Friday. The weekend is coming. Where will you explore next?
