Life – Ray of LightPosted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. It’s another Monday. This shot of a ray of the rising sun was taken just outside my office down below. Funny how for almost 2 whole years, I’ve never really noticed this scene day in and day out, even though I passed by it every morning! I guess when you really begin to take photography seriously you begin to really see things that you would other wise just pass by without even giving it a second thought. Somehow you would begin to be more aware of your surroundings, looking for scenes you might capture. I’m glad I managed to notice this scene just below the corridor outside my office one morning about two weeks ago and stopped to capture it because soon I will no longer be walking along this corridor daily to work as I would be moving on. Somehow this shot of the ray shining through gives me the reassurance that even as I move on in life, I am not alone. That there is still hope yet to come - a ray of hope! It reminds me of the motto of my secondary (junior-high) school that I had studied in years ago, “The Best Is Yet To Be” which was taken from the first stanza of the poem Rabbi Ben Ezra by Robert Browning (1812–1889). Grow old along with me! Have a good week ahead! The Best Is Yet To Be! Camera - Canon Powershot G6
