Life – Flood Light, Moon Light

As I looked at this shot two thoughts came to my mind…

Flood lights like the one shown here can be so bright that it drowns out the natural less intensive light from the moon casting on the earth. In life too sometimes certain things can become so overpowering strong that it drowns out the quiet and the less obvious. Is there something or someone doing that in your life? Are you drowning out something or someone in your life?

The second and related thought was what if the moon was really very super up close to the earth. If that happens then the intensity of the light of the moon would either match or even overpower the flood light. Then it hit me. Distance makes a difference to the intensity of the light. The moon light was less intense in this shot because it was too far away and so we need the flood lights with greater intensity to light up what we want to see. Is there something or someone you are keeping at a distance? Are you lowering the intensity of something or someone in your life?

Some food for thought for the end of the work week.
