Life – Exit Light

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 30 June 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

I would like to dedicate today's shot to a p-blogger friend, Dawn Sutherland, who just officially moved on to an exciting future at the end of yesterday!

Today is also my last official day at my place of work. Finally it has come to an end.

Thanks to all who have followed my journey over the months as I waited for this exit day.

I leave with mixed feelings. On one hand I will miss my friends at work and the students I interact with. On the other hand I look forward to the new adventures ahead.

That’s why I like this post-processed shot of the exit light. While the light here is somewhat dimmed expressing the sad part of the leaving, it’s also bursting forth into the future! And that is how I shall view my exit.

I think it’s about time to end my Life – Light series here. Not that I will no longer have shots involving light in the future for how can you make pictures without light at all? So you will probably still see shots involving lights but the theme need not necessary be about lights. Hmm...what shall my next theme be? :)

I hope you have in some way enjoyed my light journey. I appreciate all those who came for a visit, commented and shared your thoughts. They have illuminated me!

Light to your future!
