Life – Three Water Droplets

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 27 July 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Yesterday was a shot of two water droplets. Today it’s three.

Most people would say that two is company and three is a crowd. But that really depends who the third party is right?

Because sometimes the third party can be a welcome inclusion that does not add to the crowdedness but rather enriches the company like how I see this shot here of three water droplets on three petals.

But some may see the differences in height in this shot to symbolize the distances between the relationships of the three water droplets, with the lower two seemingly closer with each other than the top droplet.

I can’t disagree with the possibility of that observation as some relationships may be closer than others within a group.

Yet three other thoughts came to my mind…

~ physical distances do not always indicate the closeness or lack of it in a relationship

~ even in a close relationship there is a need to allow for space for each party to be who they are and for them to grow

~ even in seemingly close relationships there can still be “undisclosed” distances to be discovered

I guess we just need to realise that relationships are complex so we need to hold them with an open palm and be thankful for whatever richness they bring into life.
