Life – Four Water Droplets

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 28 July 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

Two days ago it was a shot of two water droplets and then yesterday it was three. So I thought maybe today I should just go for four water droplets. :)

And if people say that two is company and three is a crowd, so what does four make?

Maybe a party? Hmm….how about a fellowship?

You know, as in like the Fellowship of the Ring?

There are several definitions for the word fellowship and I like this given by WordNet of Princeton University - “an association of people who share common beliefs or activities”.

I guess the word fellowship has that ring of commonality; common grounds that hold the people together.

Yes in this shot the water droplets aren’t exactly on the same level with each other but they all share many common experiences like all are made of water, all are on the petals of a yellow flower not red nor violet and all are perched precariously on the edge of a petal hanging on to dear life fighting against the law of gravity.

So in life we can choose to look at differences or seek commonalities and that choice I guess would to some extent determine if some kind of give-and-take synergy between people of differing levels will take place or not, and ultimately whether a fellowship is birthed alive or still born.

I guess all it takes for a fellowship to take place is for all parties to be willing to humbly put away their differences and seek the common good for all, just like how the very inextricably different species of Dwarfs, Elves, Hobbits and Humans put aside their differences and came together as the Fellowship of the Ring.
