Life – Water Spray, Water Droplets

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 1 August 2007 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

This is a shot of the water spray shooting up from a water fountain.

As the spray reaches the top, single water droplets break off becoming individual droplets. But these droplets are not separated far and for long as soon they will be merged with the rest to form pools of water again which begin the next cycle of being shot up as fountain sprays leading to momentary individual droplets.

I guess this cycle of separating, merging and separating is how relationships are like. At certain times in our lives we need to be part of a larger unit of relationships whether it is as a couple, a family or a community. These give us the social support and safety that we need for growth. Yet at other times we also need to allow each person to separate and be free to be their own individuals. That’s the cycle of relationships.

May you have enriching cycles of relationships ahead.
