Life – Discoveries In The Water IV

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 25 August 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

I’m not too sure what exactly this fourth of the discoveries in the water is actually for. It looks like some kind of platform made from rocks cemented together.

But when I looked at this shot, the word that came to my mind was “Broken”.

How was it broken? Why did it break? I really don’t know.

But one thing is for sure; because of the break on the platform the link to go further out into the water is cut. This reminds me of how when a relationship or friendship is broken the link with another is broken too. A communication chasm usually ensues which adds more strain to the relationship.

Overcoming the chasm would certainly require effort as you would have to either stretch your legs, jump or place a plank over the gap in order to cross it. Repairing the break would definitely take some time. But imagine if no effort or time is put into it, can the chasm be overcome?

It is the same with broken relationships. Put in time and put in effort if you feel the chasm is worth mending.

Cheers to a good weekend!
