Life – Alone In The Water II

Hi there dear friends! Thanks so much for all who have been coming by to take a look at my shots and read some of my sharing! And thanks too for sharing your thoughts and encouraging words with me! They are like food for the soul!

I’m really sorry that I have not been able to visit your p-blogs and leaving thoughts behind as I’m right in the middle of a very busy period till end of next week. Then a short breathing break before my next busy period. I will try my best to come by yours as soon as I can.

Anyway, yesterday I posted a shot of a lone water snail, all huddled up by itself within its shell in the waters of the small lake in Punggol Park.

Today’s post is also a shot of a water snail all alone in the water.

But there is a slight difference. You can see that it is not completely hiding itself. As you can see its antennas are extended out.

Sometimes it’s hard to come out of our shell because of the trauma we may have experienced. We want to stay within our comfort zone because it’s safer there. I can understand why one would seek safety. That is a very natural human and healthy response.

It only gets unhealthy when because we stay too long within it becomes a part of us that is not contributing to our growth as a person. However coming out too isn’t easy if the traumatic event was deep. So take small steps like how this snail is only sticking it’s antennas out but not its body to sense the surrounding and to find its way.

Actually, this snail was seeking something. So what was it searching for with its antenna extended out? Stay tune for tomorrow’s post and you’ll find out! :)

Cheers!
