Life–Company In The Water II(Happy T’s&SAHM’s Day)Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 1 September 2007 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. Yesterday, I had a shot of Chris snail inching its way toward Robin snail. In today’s shot it looks like Chris has not been rejected by Robin after all! Yeah! Sometimes we will only know if we will succeed by trying even though we may not know if the outcome would be worth the effort. It takes gumption, courage, faith and conviction to do what you know is the right thing to do and trust that it will not be a waste. So I want to salute my p-blogger friends Tyan, Rebecca, Dawn Sutherland and all SAHMs for taking the road less travelled even when the majority think otherwise. I also want to salute all teachers, some of my unsung Heroes/ex-teaching colleagues and not forgetting all ex-teachers too ( so Tyan and all ex-teachers – u get a 2nd salute :) ) for having the courage to take on a tough job to reach out, touch and influence lives – for starting that spark in your students such that tiny kindling flames may flourish to punctuate the darkness on earth, to light the world and make it a better place! Happy Teacher’s Day!!! (Ex-teachers are still considered teachers too! Their positive influence can outlast them! Don’t believe me? Just take a look at these pictures here and here at tyan’s p-blog!) Please excuse me while I give a special side salutation to some of my dear ex-teaching colleagues – Hey you all! You guys deserve an AAA+++ Unseen and Unsung Hero Teacher Award for being teachers with real worth and gumption because you stuck in there for your students even when things have been tough on you, for giving your very best honestly, for pressing on with integrity even when no one sees what you do simply because you have more moral fibre not to play the “be seen to be doing” game. To me you guys are the real Heroes even though someone else may have won the best teacher award this year – God knows, we know, your students know and they are positively impacted by you in small ways - that’s good enough! Congratulations on winning the AAA+++ Unseen and Unsung Hero Teacher Award! Ok, coming back to our dear friend Chris – if it had decided not to venture or reach out, it would not have touched another wonderful snail like it did as shown in this shot…see how one of it’s antenna is under the shell of the other snail?!? And boy did Chris and Robin really got some chemistry bubbling! Don’t believe me? Come and see tomorrow! :) Have a wonderful weekend! Camera - Canon Powershot G6
