Life – Buoy In The Water

Thanks to all for coming by and sharing your thoughts or feedback.

Today’s shot is that of a brightly painted buoy in the water just off the Punggol Beach in Singapore. One definition of the buoy that I found is, “a distinctively shaped and marked float, sometimes carrying a signal or signals, anchored to mark a channel, anchorage, navigational hazard, etc.”

Can you imagine if the buoy was painted with a muted colour or black? It’s effectiveness as a means to mark a place of danger will have been curbed.

Sometimes I guess in life we need the loud and the bright to help us steer clear of what isn’t too good for us. :)
