Life – Rocks By The WaterPosted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 18 September 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio. Thank you for coming by to have a look. Your thoughts and encouraging comments are always welcome! :) It been very busy these days with some projects I have to attend to. So forgive me if I have not been visiting your p-blog on a more regular basis. I will try to do that whenever time permits. I must say that the Image Stabilizer (IS) function of my new Canon S5 IS is pretty cool! I didn’t realize that the shutter speed was 1/5 of a second until I checked out the EXIF data. And wow! Yes, I also had support from the railing of a bridge but usually even with that a 1/5 shutter speed would likely lead to a slightly blurred image unless you are gifted with solid steady hands. With the IS it worked beautifully to capture these rocks by the water, just under the bridge that was featured in yesterday’s shot about Changi Village and Changi Beach. As I reflected on the wonders of IS technology and looking at these rocks, it reminded me of the importance of taking roots so that it can give us the steadiness we need in life when we are faced with unsteady shaky moments. I’m reminded of these words of a prophet… He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. So what gives you stabilization in your life? Camera - Canon Powershot S5 IS
