Life – Footprints From The Water

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 12 October 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

We probably have heard about the poem “Footprints In The Sand” and seen pictures of it but how about a shot of footprints from the water?

But what else do you noticed about this shot that is different?

Try not to read further until you venture a guess on what is different about this set of footprints.

No it’s not that it is coming from the water.

Try another guess.

Give up? Or have you already seen it.

Maybe by now you would have realised that this set of footprints looks one sided!

Whosever steps these were, he or she must have placed each foot in front of the other giving the illusion that this was a one-legged creature!

I almost missed the fact that there was only one linear set of footprints instead of the usual two alternating sets that one would expect to see. It’s so easy to become blind and skewed in what we see when we view things through the lens of our past experiences.

So I guess in life we ought to be careful how we let our own personal past bias our perception and judgement of our current experiences, especially when dealing with people.

Do have a many sided day today!
