I find this morning shot at the beach interesting because of that little puff of black above the water.
I wondered how the picture would look without it and I thought it probably would have made the shot a little less interesting.
In life I guess sometimes a little black cloud can add an element of challenge and interest. But it can also become a nagging unwanted intrusion too if we let it be so. I guess it all depends on how we choose to view it.
If we choose to focus too much on that tiny black cloud and miss out on the rest of the scene then it becomes an intrusive negative and it has gained control over our thinking, even our emotions.
But if we choose to view it in a broader perspective we begin to see things in a more positive light and the best part is that we would have the upper hand over our thoughts and feelings.
Freedom of choice – that’s what define us as free humans. No one and nothing can really force us to think or emote in certain ways unless we ourselves allow them too. They may trigger it but we can chose not to allow it to continue.
In the movie "Gandhi", Gandhi was giving a speech to a crowd and taking about how the British was imposing on them rules that violated their rights as equal citizens of the British Empire. He called for non-violent protest and impressed upon the crowd that, “They will imprison us. They will fine us. They will seize our possessions. But they cannot take away our self-respect if we do not give it to them….They may torture my body, break my bones, even kill me. Then they will have my dead body, not my obedience.”
We always have a choice. Yes it's costly but we have a choice. It’s really up to us.
May we all make wise choices on what we choose to focus on.
Cheers for a new week of choices! :)

I like the look of the sky. Very nice.

That's a great sky but I think this would benefit from a panoramic crop, the bottom right is too dark and not doing anything for me.
