Life – Xtreme Tent By The Water

Posted by kairospix (Singapore, Singapore) on 27 October 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

This is an Xtreme tent by the water. Well if you look at the top right hand side of the apex you’ll see that that’s the brand or model name do the tent!

I wondered why they would name it that maybe it was to indicate that the tent can help protect you from the extremes of weather conditions out in the open?

Whatever it means, I see quite a number of these small tents pitched all over along Changi beach. Some only had an individual, while others had a whole family staying in it! Some nearer to the water others further inland.

But it looks like for the owner of this tent, he or she was playing it smart. As much as it can provide some protection from the rain and the wind and maybe give some privacy, it just wasn’t good enough on its own to protect him or her from the scorching sun of the day and so it was pitched under the shade of two shady trees.

Smart move. Sometimes in life we need double shelters or more because not one shelter alone can cover the whole range of protection needed.

We need to widen our coverage. :)

Have a well covered weekend!
