Aline from LuxembourgThank you for visiting my blog, giving me the opportunity to visit yours. Great work on here. I will come back. 10 Dec 2007 6:24am ManuelaR from Hainburg, GermanyGreat work! Attractive composition and tones, well done ;) 10 Dec 2007 8:12am Putter from BelgiumVery nice composition and colors. That clothes peg looks like a little green man to me. :-) 10 Dec 2007 8:29am Jump from Strasbourg, FranceHi, It's me again.... I do not find you in The Photblog Award.... :( Can you give me your link ?? 10 Dec 2007 10:19am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomGreat idea to go with the pic. Love the bright colours here, even a clip looks fantastic in this view 10 Dec 2007 12:32pm anonymous from NY, United StatesWhat the f*** is this? I can’t believe this crap pass for art. I can take a picture of dog poop and call it art as Duchamp did with a urinal. Without your corny yuppie musings and your horrible postprocessing technique, your pictures fall apart, seriously, I’m not just being mean. They become mere snapshots. Bland and boring. It’s been done. Try for once to let your picture speak for itself, everyone knows a good picture can stand on its own.Try documenting the truth about your environment, the stuff tourists are not allowed to see and post it from where you are, will you get censored for that? Will you get caned for poking your camera around where you’re told not to? Your take on “life” is a joke. Study Cartier-Bresson’s work or if it would be easier for you look at the pictures in National Geographic, if it’s allowed where you live. And what’s with the begging for votes for “cool” photoblog? If this is the future of the photographic arts then heaven help this art. It turned into a popularity contest, a mutual admiration society where everyone compliments each other on their picture no matter how bad it really is, truth and honesty takes a back seat for the sake of being politically correct or not hurting other’s feelings, in turn the art itself suffers. I weep for the photographic arts. 10 Dec 2007 2:06pm @anonymous: It would have been nice if you identified yourself instead of remaining anonymous. It's always easy to be "brave" and use expletives when one hides behind anonymity. Why the need for that if your views are fair and valid? Are you afraid of being identified? In any case, I have a rough idea who you might be. I just feel sad that you have to resort to such "high-moral-protector-of-photographic-art" language though. It's a sad day for the AM3 community where many are just beginning photographers trying to learn and improve, while others just want to share what they have captured in their part of the world. Craiger from Vacaville, California, United StatesI like the asymmetrical balance and the way you've used color to define your subject. Very artistic in my opinion. Keep up the great work!!! 10 Dec 2007 3:04pm Tricia from Melbourne, Australiathis is beautiful! the clothes peg reminds me of the childhood days... 10 Dec 2007 3:09pm Olaide from Fort Collins, United StatesI always love your works. You are good regardless of the above statements. The point is, we are not competing here but having fun. A-3 did not asked for exceptional pictures only or pictures from professionals, and i am sure their goals do not include discrimination against any work. This is a very lovely shot with a beautiful PP. I love it. 10 Dec 2007 3:11pm AC from United StatesSome people have way too much time on their hands. Don't mind the anonymous dude - probably had too much free time. I like the colour saturation and the focal point in the snap. Well seen. 10 Dec 2007 3:31pm alla from Toronto, CanadaVery cool color contrast! I've been doing fine, thanks! How are you?! 10 Dec 2007 3:33pm tyan from Singapore, Singaporehey dear Kai,i hope you are not too affected by anonymous' remark...We are all photographers in our own right an nobody has any right to put us down like that. Please continue to take good pitures as you always do ya?I hope to take nice pictures during my holiday as well, till then take care and God bless. i love this shot, though its a painful reminder of the laundry i have to hang out later, hahaha 10 Dec 2007 3:41pm lissa from New York, United Statessimplified shots like these are always more striking than those crowded ones. great job! 10 Dec 2007 4:39pm annora from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiavery nice!wouldn't it be fun if there were diffrent sizes and colours of these pegs to put alongside each other?hehe. 10 Dec 2007 4:50pm Ginnie from Atlanta, GA, United StatesI LOVE the colors, KS, and your composition, plus post-processing. I'm glad we can ignore those who have no sense of communication skills! 10 Dec 2007 5:20pm Ina from Krugersdorp, South Africaabout anonymous comment: The man has a hole in his soul! How sad that he must put others down to make himself look good/better/wise.... while we all here at Am3 knows that he's a fool, a looser and a NOTHING! We don't need him, and we will never miss him. I don't even feel sorry for him, it's a waste of energy. By the way anonymous, to ask for a rating is not by far begging for votes - do you have a reading problem? To get back to the photo... Love the contrast and the colors. I like it! 10 Dec 2007 5:52pm leslie from Bruce Penninsula, Canadamy, that was quite the rant!? Keep doing exactly what you do. I for one, look forward to seeing your work each day. Comments or not, i find this site truly inspiring and I enjoy the looking glass into everyones world. 10 Dec 2007 6:21pm Jen from Alpharetta, United StatesWonderful shot K...love the contrast of the old wire and new green clip. Nice work. 10 Dec 2007 7:54pm Wolfgang Prigge from Granby, Québec, CanadaI like it, t is simple but eyecatching, and don't mind the anonymous venom spewer. He thinks he can make himself better by putting other people and countries down, and obviously he has no clue about the many origins of our common culture and knowledge of today. 10 Dec 2007 8:35pm Laurie from Lincoln, United StatesWow! Amazing color contrasts! Another great pic, bro! =-) 10 Dec 2007 9:48pm AG from United KingdomAh, well seen, visualized and executed! This sure makes a strong statement in color and form from something out of the everyday. Great stuff! 10 Dec 2007 10:31pm Luis Rodrigues from Lisbon, PortugalNice work! Kairospix great eye and imagination....keep it on! 10 Dec 2007 11:23pm John Maslowski from Dallas,PA, United StatesPersonally, I think it's very creative. The contrast of the colors and the arrangement is very unique. Nice work. 10 Dec 2007 11:48pm Gary from Cochise County, United StatesWonderful colors and subject. Well done. 11 Dec 2007 12:24am Rebecca from Leicester, United Kingdomimho, you have FANTASTIC photographic skill, AND soul , dear kairo, and this is what I appreciate most about your work. As so many friends above have already said truthfully, may you not be discouraged by the small-minded words of unconstructive criticism from anonymous, dear friend. Like you, I value constructive criticism, and am grateful that we do get good amounts of that, along with kind and helpful encouragement and support, here at Am3. In any case, your photographic work is light-years ahead of mine. To my mind, however many or few ‘coolpoints’ you may eventually end up with, you are truly cool, and I suspect I’m not the only one who thinks so. ;) So, again, Bravo to you, dear friend, and this really wonderful place of learning and sharing that is Am3. :) ps: I do like your image here today too, once again a clear example of your fantastic photographic skill, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, though I admit I do love your previous pieces in the past week more, but please consider that just personal preference. :) 11 Dec 2007 12:26am Rags from Plano, United Stateskeep up the good work. Even the great artists and leaders had detractors. Keep making the awesome images that you make. 11 Dec 2007 4:01am Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaI was just going to say 'cool little guy' (meaning the clothespin figure), but the anonymous comment irritated me enough to stick up for you just that little bit more. Certainly his or her criticism is scattershot unfocussed ad hominem attack. He or she seems to have a problem with your whole country which of course has nothing to do with your work. To say that all photography should be like Cartier-Bresson is passing absurd. In any case, criticism from anonymous cowards is meaningless. I think I must give the advice that I follow myself: if a photo doesn't in some way move me, I don't comment, unless someone's looking for specific criticism. On the other hand, you did state that you were curious what people think of your photoblog and I suppose anonymous or not, this person took up the challenge, not effectively, but there you go. I'll also take up the challenge and say that I've been moved and fascinated by many of your images, and when I view your work as a body (looking at your portfolio) I see a consistent individual style, full of colour and respect for the small things in life, and that's something any artist should be proud of, because it's your vision and yours alone. 11 Dec 2007 4:30am Judit from Montbui, SpainOne of the best photographers from AM3 community! But I will say what i think in Spanish to express myself better. CONGRATULATIONS!!! 11 Dec 2007 11:33am Scott Collins from Ontario, United StatesOne great shot after another. I think your best work is your abstracts. Keep up the good work. 25 Dec 2007 4:04pm |
