This shot of another of my Japanese ex-student looking as if he was giving his two cents worth of opinion.
Opinions – we all have them don’t we. Question is how sure are we that our opinions are based on hard facts and not merely based on hear say?
Sometimes we ought to be careful of being too sure of our opinions as they can easily be based more on scant half truths than complete investigated hard facts.
Half truths are as good as untruths. And untruths are as good as lies.
Do be careful what you based your opinions on as they can dead-lock you into ideas that are half-truths while giving you the fasle impression that you are speaking the truth. That’s what half-truths do – they deceive you into thinking you have the whole truth and nothing but the truth when actually that’s not the case. So you get trapped in.
I guess in life it’s just as important to be skeptical about our own opinions as it is of others.
