At a particular junior high school I was teaching, they have a school tradition in which all students have to come together and kneel in silence before they do their cleaning.

I think it’s a good idea to get students to practice the art of silence, to look within and to “monitor inside you” (to quote what Illuci mentioned yesterday in my post) so as to reflect not only your life but as suggested by Illuci to reflect on the words you have spoken that might have offended others but also as suggested by Illuci to think if you yourself might have over reacted to what others say to you.

I totally agree with the wisdom shared by Illuci – that we not only be careful of what we say but also be even more extra careful of our own possible over-reaction of what others say to us.

Sometimes we need to reflect on this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”

Yes, we all need to learn how not to be easily affected by what others say or in some cases not say.

Living with peaceful joy and contentment is certainly an internal self art.

NEW FLASH!!! – Yestesday Illuci has contributed his 500th post in AM3! Congratulations! Let’s have more of his presence in AM3!
